PRIVACY POLICY

Premise

Atom Messenger ( " Atom ") was founded on the premise of uncompromising data protection by the company Igloocy srl. Our main goal is to store only the absolute minimum of information for the shortest amount of time ("Privacy by Design"). In addition to using state-of-the-art encryption methods, we take all necessary technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized access to your data and misuse.

Information Provided

Messaging The Atom app was developed to leave as little metadata as possible on your device and make communication with the server completely anonymous and secure. End-to-end encrypted communications are not stored permanently on the device to ensure maximum security in case of compromise or loss of the mobile phone.

Account Information. It is absolutely not necessary to provide personal data in order to use the app (no mobile number or email is required) and registration takes place only by direct invitation from the node administrator via an invitation qr code. The identification of a user of the Atom app takes place exclusively through an internal ID and a pair of cryptographic keys generated by the user himself.

User assistance. If you contact Atom User Support, any personal data you may share with us is held only for the purpose of researching the issue and contacting you regarding your case.

Purpose of data processing

Atom processes the data to allow the exchange of messages and allow communication between users who have registered within an application node. The data is processed exclusively by Atom on the node to which the application has been connected and only for the features offered. There are no mechanisms for profiling or for sharing data with third-party systems for remuneration purposes.

Distribution options

Each application can connect in isolation to different micro-servers which maintain application data permanently and securely. In short, there are two relevant Atom implementation options that affect the information request process:

servers hosted by us (Igloocy srl) and managed directly by us For total transparency, Igloocy srl owns and directly manages only a few Cloud servers used for product testing and demo purposes associated with domains attributable to the company. To find out if a server belongs to the test cloud, contact us, or use the domain information systems to verify the owner of the node.

servers hosted by third parties (individuals or companies) who purchase the service and physically receive the micro-server You should be aware that any private Atom server may be operated by arbitrary companies, groups or individuals with no relation to Igloocy srl. In particular Igloocy srl: • does not have access to these servers. • does not and cannot control or regulate the operation of these servers. • may not access, determine or regulate any content or information flow on these servers.

Scope and duration of data processing

All data is only stored by Atom until deleted by you. Once deleted, information cannot be restored.

A. User profile data As part of using the Atom app, the following data is collected: • Atom ID Code (self-generated unique ID) • Nickname (public name with which to be displayed) • Public key • Operating system and Atom app version • Atom ID creation date • Date of last Atom login • A predefined avatar among those available within the application

B. Message Content The Atom app encrypts all messages exchanged by users using an end-to-end encryption method. The information is protected by E2E encryption for transmission to the server and from the server to the recipient, to prevent interception by third parties (for example in open wireless networks). The messages that users send will be stored on the device only for the time necessary to provide the respective service and will therefore be deleted if not requested by the user. The data remains archived encrypted on the server to which the application is connected until cancellation requested by the user or by the node manager

C. Crash Reports To improve the app's stability and reliability, App relies on anonymous crash reports. iOS: If the user voluntarily and explicitly consents to the transmission of a crash report after an app crash, the crash information (state of the app at the time of the crash) is transferred to a server of igloocy and stored there for evaluation. If the user does not allow the crash report to be sent, nothing will be sent. Crash reports contain no personal data. On iOS, they consist of a stack trace, some device information (model, OS version, but no serial number or similar), the app version, timestamp of launch and crash, and the list of software libraries loaded into memory. Processor log contents or log messages are not collected. Android: If you voluntarily and explicitly consent to the general transmission of crash reports to Google during the configuration of your mobile phone, information (app state at the time of the crash, stack trace, manufacturer and operating system of the mobile phone, the latest log messages) will be transmitted to Google and stored there for evaluation by Igloocy. This information does not contain personal data.

D. Reports on installs from the store If you use Atom on your Android or iOS phone, Google or Apple may store information about how you use the app using telemetry features built into their operating systems. They can record when the app is closed, opened, how long you use it, crash logs and your device model. This usage information may also be linked to your Google or Apple account. Unfortunately this is a limitation of mobile operating systems and applies to all apps used on your device. If you plan to use Atom on mobile, it's worth reading the privacy policies of Apple or Google. If you're using iOS, see Apple's App Store Review Guidelines. For Android, read the User Data section of Google's Developer Policy Center.

Data processed by third parties

The Atom platform does not transmit any data to third parties, is completely free of advertising and does not use analysis software to monitor user behavior. However, some features can only be provided using external data sources, frameworks or services, which in turn process data and are subject to a separate privacy policy. These suppliers are bound by their privacy policies to safeguard such information and in no way are information sent that can lead the internal id code back to the real user of the service. Other cases where Igloocy may need to share your data: • To satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request. • To enforce applicable Terms, including investigating potential violations. • Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues. • To protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of Atom, our users, or the public, as required or permitted by law. Right to information, rectification, blocking, cancellation and opposition Users have the right to receive information on their personal data at any time by contacting the administrator of the individual node to which the application is connected. Likewise, users have the right to correct, block or (apart from legally required data archiving for business purposes) delete their personal data. Users can delete all personal data relating to their user ID and revoke their key pair at any time by contacting the relevant node manager who can perform the deletion via a dedicated management panel.

Modification of the privacy policy

Igloocy reserves the right to periodically modify this Privacy Policy to comply with modified legal requirements or to reflect new features of the app. The current Privacy Policy can always be consulted from within the Atom app.
